How beautiful you are Apulia… and not only during the summer season!
Valentine's Day is also approaching this year, the long-awaited party for every lover, the perfect time to exchange sweet affection and declare one's love, or perhaps give gifts to him or her. But Valentine's Day is not just this, it is much, much more!
So, let's start together for our tour to discover the most romantic places that Apulia offers us, to better prepare ourselves for a truly unique day full of romantic magic (without forgetting that every 14th February will be special if spent with who we want!)
It is now well known: sometimes to fully enjoy the beauties of a territory it is enough to move a few kilometers, and in this case, thanks to the many itineraries offered by the region, traveling and taking trips outside the city is really simple.
We then come to Vico del Gargano (Foggia), traditionally called the "City of love". Here, Valentine's Day is the patron saint and protector of citrus groves: for this reason, legend has it that anyone who drinks the juice extracted from local products can enjoy a filter of love capable of giving joy and serenity to their spouses.
That's not all: Vico Garganico can boast, as well as a picturesque village, also a suggestive location dedicated to each couple, known as "Vicolo del Bacio", a romantic street near the Cathedral, ideal for huddling and exchanging effusions. Legend has it that this was a blessed place for lovers, among the most romantic since ancient times.
Every February 14th then, in love or not, they celebrate the saint with a suggestive procession in which the statue and the streets of the city are decorated with garlands of oranges, lemons and laurel, moreover many faithful wear traditional folkloristic clothes making the atmosphere even more magical.
At the end of the procession, couples in love and those who are looking for a soul mate drink the juice of blessed oranges. Another ritual is to walk the Vicolo del Bacio, only 50 centimeters wide, kiss and leave phrases or poems between the cracks of the walls as a symbol of love.

Salento is a single large environment created to celebrate Love. Everything, in the harmony that nature and man have achieved, seems to have been created to paint fascinating landscapes, capable of combining the beauty of the sea with the sweetness of the hinterland.
Let's walk now through the suggestive streets of Alberobello which, with its famous trulli, is often the destination of sweet excursions by lovers in constant search of breathtaking landscapes and wonderful memories.
UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1996, it is impossible not to visit Rione Monti, the beating heart of the country and one of the most evocative places in the entire region. Right here are concentrated many of the typical cone-shaped structures that have made the city famous from whose alleys arise cheerful restaurants, artisan shops and shops to be discovered.

Every self-respecting seaside town has stories and legends related to fishermen, mythological creatures and young sailors and the city of Taranto is no exception.
In fact, a simple, romantic walk near Molo Sant’Eligio will amaze lovers with the wonderful statues depicting sirens created by the sculptor Francesco Trani and lovingly donated to the city.
It is not only the immensity of the monuments, their suggestive position or the care that reserves every detail of them to amaze, but also the beautiful legend that lies behind the work and that most of all inspired the artist in its realization, the story of a mutual forgiveness, the most difficult demonstration of love that exists.

With one of the most beautiful villages in Apulia and with its characteristic historic center overlooking the sea, Polignano is the perfect destination for a memorable Valentine's Day.
In fact, a romantic walk through the narrow streets of the center makes you appreciate the
beauty of the simplest things and the wonderful viewpoint, which allows you to admire the force of the sea that breaks on the rocks, leaves lovers open mouth in front of the spectacle of nature.
